Grey powder with specific gravity of 6.6-6.8. Melting point is 1990. It dissolves in sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and Nitric acid, not in water and liquid ammonia. It turns to nickel trioxide when heated to 400and return to nickel oxide at 600.
